Acceptable Use Policy

Rules and prohibitions governing use of the DirectiveOps service and GitHub integration.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into the Terms of Service. You must comply with this AUP when using the DirectiveOps hosted service ("Service"). Violation may result in suspension or termination of Your access.

2. Permitted use

You may use the Service to discover, scan, and manage instruction files (e.g., AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md) across repositories that You are authorized to access; to detect drift and findings; to define org-level templates and policies; and to generate and manage rollout PRs, in each case in accordance with Your Plan and the Terms of Service.

3. Prohibited conduct

You may not: (a) use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law; (b) use the Service to infringe any third party's intellectual property or other rights; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any system or network; (d) use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or phishing; (e) abuse the Service or GitHub integration in a manner that could harm the Service, GitHub, or other users; (f) circumvent or disable any security or access control feature; (g) resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted; (h) use the Service to process repositories or content You do not have the right to access or use.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content or suspend or terminate access without liability. We may report violations to law enforcement or third parties as we deem appropriate. You are responsible for the conduct of users under Your organization.
